My Sephora love story starts in 2004 in New York City. For two weeks, I stayed in a cozy guest room on the Upper West Side, on Amsterdam Avenue to be exact. It was the end of May, the week after my birthday and I enjoyed walking around town, taking it all in.
love at first sight
I don‘t remember the exact moment when I first stepped into a Sephora store. What I do remember though, is that it sucked me right into its vortex. Time flew by as I was roaming their shelves, testing perfumes, the latest skincare bits, and amazing hot pink lipstick, minding my own business. Ah, memories.
Whenever someone asks me what I miss most about my time in New York, of course, it‘s the people. It’s the New York noise. It’s sitting outside of a small café watching people. It’s my beloved yellow cabs. But it‘s also Sephora. Especially me-time at Sephora. It’s most definitely my favorite place to unwind, to treat myself, and to hang out.
I was lucky enough to meet Nina through this very blog, who graciously treats me to a box every few months ever since. She‘s like my personal Andi who is roaming their skincare shelves for me and always gets me the best deals and extra samples. I was totally fine with how things were for now. But when I found out that Prague not only houses one but 7 (as in SEVEN!!) Sephora stores, I lost it!
I still can‘t believe that I am going to set my foot into my beloved black-white-striped halls yet again and I am not sorry to plan on getting in as many visits as I can this upcoming weekend!
Sephora truly is My happy place
Sephora is my happy place. And until I am standing in front of my favorite joint at Union Square again, eagerly anticipating the shop assistant to open the pearly gates, I am planning on taking it all in while visiting Prague and enjoying it to the fullest. It’s love. That’s all.

I love Sephora!! I know if I step into one of their stores that I’m going to walk out with at least two new things! Every single time!

I love just the whole vibe of it! It´s been years since I last stepped foot into one and even though I am sure the Prague stores are much smaller and lack the NY vibe, I can´t wait :)
