Happy Galentine’s Day! I am a romantic through and through but have never been a big fan of Valentine’s Day. A day dedicated to celebrating girlfriends though? Sign me up!
Galentine’s Day, for those who don’t know, stems from Parks & Recreation character Leslie Knope and quickly jumped from our screens into the real world, thus February 13th has been Galentine’s Day ever since.
If you could use some inspiration for those special ladies in your life, here are my Galentine’s Day Gift Ideas for this year, let me know what you think…
6 Galentine’s Day Gift Ideas
Flower Bouquet Gift
Just recently Miley Cyrus reminded us that we can buy flowers for ourselves, thank you very much, but it’s still one of my favorite gifts to receive. If you don’t want it to be a one-and-done gift and have the means, you could also look into a monthly flower subscription. I would love that (hint, hint!)
Spa Experience gift
A pampering facial is a gift that keeps on giving, isn’t it? Personally, I love the B.WELL Garden Spa in Vienna*, their facials are heavenly! Despite the obvious benefit for the skin, I find it to be such a mental stress relief as well. Spa time at home can have a similar effect – I recently curated my favorite face masks for you which would also make excellent Galentine’s gifts.
Book Lover Gift
Is there an avid reader among your besties? Why not gift them your favorite book from last year? In my case, it would be Where The Crawdads Sing (still can’t get over Kya), and why not add a nice bookmark and dedication to personalize it?
Fun Earring gift
I love quality made fun earrings that won’t cost an arm and a leg. Those brass tassel stunners in plum are actually in my jewelry box and I gifted them to two friends in that rose color pictured. They come in many vibrant colors and are just a perfect gift, trust me!
Quick Trip Gift
Last year I took a random weekday off work and had a little road trip with my sister to go spend the day in Salzburg. It was perfect! We strolled through the historic part of the city, soaked up the sun in Mirabell Garden, had nice pastries and coffee, and just spent time with good conversations and laughter. My heart was full! This isn’t always a possibility, but maybe Galentine’s Day is a good reminder to spend active quality time with your girlfriends again!
Brunch Date Gift
Speaking of quality time, I love me a good brunch date on a Saturday morning! Eggs Benedict, here I come. Sharing several dishes with coffee or tea is just divine. My sister and I used to have monthly brunch dates, which wasn’t possible the last few years, but this is a good reminder to bring that tradition back. Why not ask a girlfriend you haven’t seen in a while out on a brunch date?
That’s my round-up of gift ideas for my besties and yours, now go send them a text and pencil in time in your calendar for a date or at least a long phone call. We all need our tribe!
